Windsurf equipment
Windsurf equipment should be rented the first time you try windsurfing. It’s no use wasting a bunch of money on something you might only use once.
Windsurf equipment includes boards, fins, harnesses, and sails. If you have already tried out windsurfing a couple of times and then find that you want to buy the equipment, there is one main rule.
• Sail – Do not buy a used sail. This piece of equipment is simply too important to buy something that might not work right. If you get a brand new one and you find a hole or a tear in it, then it is easy to return using a warranty or a guarantee. Those who buy these sails used on Web sites or other places may not be as confident in buying the equipment because they probably are out of a lot of money if it does not work as it should.
Windsurf equipment is highly subjective. You certainly can buy used equipment, but you are definitely running a risk by doing so. Stick to the advice of your instructor or experienced windsurfer friend/acquaintance.
